In MLB The Show 26, the main decision in Finest Program 1 is how to earn the 100 points needed for Pete Crow-Armstrong's 99 OVR card without spending time on objectives that do little for your lineup. Players considering MLB 26 stubs should keep the currency separate from the program itself: the route described here depends on completing objectives, not on a stated purchase requirement. The reward path offers more points than you need, so your choice of missions matters more than clearing every task. Start with objectives that unlock eligible players, then select the remaining work according to your roster and preferred mode.

Use Moments to Build Your Eligible Lineup

The five Moments are the clearest starting point because each awards six points. Complete the challenges featuring Payton Tolle, Kody Clemens, Matt Olson, Cam Schlittler and Crow-Armstrong for 30 points in total. Along the way, Tolle unlocks at five points and Corbin Carroll at 10. Add them to your squad once available, rather than waiting until you have finished every objective. Their value here is practical: Program 1 missions require eligible program players, so using unlocked cards early lets your game time contribute toward the next stage. If a particular Moment slows you down, the extra available points leave room to consider another objective instead.

Pay close attention to the distinction between Program 1 players and the wider 2026 Finest Series. A Finest card from another release may count for a broader series objective without qualifying for a Program 1 mission. Check each mission's player requirement before setting your lineup, especially if you already own several Finest cards. A full roster of attractive cards is less useful for this route if the players receiving most of the plate appearances do not qualify. The tradeoff is that prioritizing eligible cards may mean setting aside players you prefer, but it keeps your games focused on the rewards you actually need.

Choose the Last Points Before Starting a Long Session

A direct 100-point plan combines all five Moments with the six Program 1 missions, worth 10 points each. Those missions call for five innings pitched, five hits, and 500, 1,500, 2,500 and 4,000 Parallel XP with eligible players. The 4,000 PXP mission is repeatable, but one completion is enough for this plan. Together with the Moments, those missions provide 90 points. Finish with one general 10-point stat mission, such as 26 hits, 26 innings pitched or 26 strikeouts with any players. This route suits players willing to keep Program 1 cards active while accumulating PXP; it does not require clearing every Finest Series objective.

If you already have eligible 2026 Finest Series players, watch the broader objectives as an alternative source of progress. The missions for 15 hits, eight extra-base hits, 10 innings pitched and 15 strikeouts each award five points, while separate PXP objectives award 10 points each. Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest and Diamond Quest are among the listed modes, alongside competitive options; choose a setting where you can produce the relevant stats consistently. Put eligible hitters where they will receive regular opportunities, and use a pitcher whose pitches you can locate reliably. At 95 points, the choice pack is close to the final reward, so inspect your unfinished missions before committing to another long session. If you plan to buy cheap MLB 26 stubs, treat that as a separate roster decision and select the quickest remaining objective based on the progress your eligible players have already made.
